Rohingya Food Parcel

The Rohingya continue to face religious persecution and mass genocide. Without the means to access basic necessities, the Rohingya continue to struggle. Along with the conflict, another major threat to survival has been the climate (Monsoon floods and landslides), which has only perpetuated the food insecurity in Rohingya.  According to the Global Report on Food Crises, as of 2018 “almost 1.3 million people were food insecure in Cox’s Bazaar alone.”  Due to the conflict and displacement of the Rohingya, “almost the entire displaced population (98%) rely on food assistance.” Without the means to earn money, land to produce food and limited opportunities for jobs, access to food has become nearly impossible. In Cox’s Bazaar, “to complicate an already critical situation, the monsoon and cyclone season (May-September) poses an additional threat to nearly one million households at risk of landslides and flooding” (Global Report of Food Crises, 2019). To say your donation will save lives is not an exaggeration.

Heroic Hearts Food Distribution program will deliver the food basket that you donate with all the essential foods that are required for survival to the Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazaar in Bangladesh. The basket(s) you donate will include dates, rice, lentils, flour, sugar, oil, and many other items that will give the Rohingya some sense of resemblance to a normal life. They will be able to cook their traditional foods and provide nourishment to their children. Let’s do our part to help our brothers and sisters in their time of need.
