Yemen is the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, with more than 24 million people – some 80 percent of the population – in need of humanitarian assistance. Heroic Hearts is on the ground working tirelessly to provide food, clothing, and clean water. With your donation of as little as $60, you can help internally displaced individuals and needy families receive a fresh hot meal and clean water for Iftar each day during the holy month of Ramadan.

Yemen a country located in a dry and semi-arid region of the Middle East is already facing a severe water crisis. Yemen is considered the most water-poor country in the world. In response to Water Crisis in Yemen Heroic Hearts is initiating a water refill program to provide safe clean water to the residents. This donation is for a 6000ltr water tank refill and your $48 donation will go towards providing 10 to 15 needy families with clean safe water for an entire week.

The Yemen Relief Fund aims to provide emergency relief in the form of food, clothing, shelter and medical assistance to affected and internally displaced families in the region due to continuing turmoil near their homes.

By donating $8 (for warm blanket) or $7 (for winter coat) towards our Yemen winter campaign, needy children and their family will receive an essential winter gear to get through the grueling winter ahead. Your donations will have a tremendous impact this winter, but without your generosity, at least one household will not find relief from the harsh winter, leaving them vulnerable to the cold.

As the crisis in Yemen continues into its 5th year of crisis with no end in the foreseeable future, our efforts to provide support continue to be crucial to the survival of our brothers and sisters. Unfortunately, over the years humanitarian support has declined rather than improved. According to the World Food Programme, “people in need of humanitarian assistance has risen to 20 million people [and] of these, almost one third of families have gaps in their diets, and hardly ever consume foods like pulses, vegetables, fruit, dairy products or meat. Malnutrition rates among women and children in Yemen remain among the highest in the world, with more than a million women and 2 million children requiring treatment for acute malnutrition.

A loaf of bread has become a luxury for desperate families as some 80% of Yemen’s population are reliant on humanitarian aid and millions are on the brink of starvation. The bakery produces approximately 4,500 loafs of bread each day and distributes them to the most needy in the community.

A Bag of 10 pita bread will cost .25 cents and can feed a small family of approximately 4 individuals.
