The Rohingya are often referred to as the “most persecuted minority” as they continue to face genocide. The Rohingya are indigenous to the country of Myanmar from the state of Rakhine but were exiled out of the country primarily to Bangladesh by the Myanmar government due to religious persecution.
Without a voice or even at times being recognized as humans, the Rohingya are living a life of daily mental and physical suffering. Imagine being driven out of the only country you have known and to have no sense of belonging just due to the fact you are Muslim. Here is our chance to let this group know they are not alone.
